• With that last one being a bit heavy, Underrated reasons to be thankful is actually quite uplifting.
• An article on the phones of the Ukrainian President, which has all kinds of links to historical nation state networks. Was interesting to re-read about DSN and DRSN
• Maybe you should do less “work” (Hn discussion), which lead to reading about slack and expanding premium mediocrity. There was also a good link to an article about learning at work.
• Horrible edge cases when dealing with music (metadata), explored from a contributor to navidrome. Points to musicbrainz schema.
• Metabrainz is a well organized entity with several impacting projects. Their social contract and conflict resolution policy are excellent reads.
• Hn discussion on what books changed your life, as well as many previous discussions linked within.

Technology #

• Discussion on what platforms people use for technical writing. Was interesting to see Joplin and mdBook used together.
• Chris Siebenmann posted some thoughtful writings on how Running Servers and Services is not trivial as well as On Premise versus Off Premise environments. There is also a much older but extremely meaningful write up on University Staff Peculiarities specific to how resource allocation is handled when there isn’t an overall market pressure.
• Userspace wireguard client that exposes itself as a socks5 proxy with Hn discussion of several other similar projects.
• agones is a library for hosting, running, and scaling game servers on kubernetes.
• Kubernetes Comic?
• Reticulum Network Stack is an overlay network with no central authority that runs in userspace, upstream repository.
• How we secure Monzo’s Banking Platform with Hn Discussion talks about workload trust and ratcheting from low trust in early deployment. There was also a blog post about network isolation of their services.
• Run GUI Applications within Docker Containers, with a project for doing some scaffolding around this concept with podman.
• Tailscale has an excellent write up on NAT Traversal.
• systemd by example is an excellent enhanced resource to the man pages.
